City Girl in Charlottesville

Miss Evie Mae was able to go to Charlottesville when Dada was going to visit GPR programs.
And she LOVED the University of Virginia.

She followed Dada around everywhere...
or maybe I should say Dada followed her around everywhere.

She looked so tiny next to the old buildings and statues of Thomas Jefferson (father of UVA).
I just couldn't get over it!

So I kept taking pictures of her next to everything without zooming in because I thought it looked too crazy to not document.
Dada was also nice enough to follow Evie as she climbed up all the stairs.

Evie + Dada = BFFs

Evie loving the walkways.

And the grass.
And the airplanes in the sky, which is why she's pointing up :)

And she really wanted to see what was behind each door.
But she was perfectly content to just walk down the brick path and exploring!
I still can't believe each door is a dorm room.
And they are teeny tiny!
With no showers.
They have to go outside just to shower.
Very old fashioned.

And there was so much wonderful grass to play in.

They are in the process of changing the dome back to the original white color.
We thought the campus was very beautiful.
Evie especially loved the gardens behind each of the dorms.
But she was hard to snap shots of because she kept running away from Dada when he had the camera.

Another airplane.
She loves saying, "Airplane"
and then moving from side to sides saying, "Shwooo Shwoo"

Still watching.
Don't mind me Dada.

Oh this girl.
She's just an explorer.
And such a nature lover.
She'd much rather go on a hike or walk outside than play on a playground.
After the University of Virginia, we went to Monticello.
Evie loved walking in the grass so much. There were so many pictures from Monticello that I can't post them all now. We took so many because Evangeline seriously loved walking around outside.
What an adventure for her!

All Smiles

Evangeline has never made it easy on us to get pictures of her smiling.
Lately, we've been able to get some pretty cute ones :)

Thank goodness!
It's about time lil' Evie.

A great day...

 Today was a great day.
I have so much joy in my heart today for my family.
I loved getting up with my little Evangeline at 6am and starting our day together.
Jeffrey was kind enough to make pancakes.
Not just any pancakes.
Banana whole wheat oat pancakes with real maple syrup.
Does he know me or what?
And he was so so so great to not give me breakfast in bed - yuck.

I can't believe Evangeline's already 17 months.
She's wonderful and she also made sure I had a wonderful Mother's Day.

She doesn't usually nap with me, but when she woke up from her nap and was still tired,  she fell asleep with me. I just enjoyed the snuggles and couldn't stop thinking about how much she's grown.

Evangeline and I have always both enjoyed cuddling.
Even from the start.
This was when we were leaving the hospital...

And here we are today.
17 months later and still snuggling.

I still can't believe how long she's gotten!
Best Mother's Day present Evie girl could have given me.

Mother's Day 2013 was very special.
I can't even tell you how very special.

Thankfully we wouldn't be here without our mamas.

And we're blessed that our moms love our sweet little baby just as much as they loved us.
Thank goodness for all those good mamas,
and thank goodness for all the women that are good mamas at heart who are just waiting patiently for their turn.
